Peter Keith

My experience within the camera department began in 1999. I started as a camera trainee before spending a number of years at each level as Clapper Loader, Focus Puller and Camera Operator. I've been fortunate to work on a huge variety of productions from feature films to television drama, documentary, commercial, corporate and music videos. Constantly learning and developing from friends and colleagues.

As a cinematographer I've shot a number of commercials, corporates, shorts and documentaries. I most recently DP'd a co-Scottish/Chilean feature documentary called 'Nae Pasaran' for Debaser Films which closed the Glasgow Film Festival in 2018. Own and Operate a C300 mkII.

In 2013 I became fascinated in the new possibilities offered using Multirotors for shooting video and so sought to train and apply for a CAA permission for Aerial Work. I currently own and operate a Quadcopter called a DJI Inspire 2 with the option of the Super 35mm X7 Camera or Micro Four Thirds X5S. Being a smaller system (Sub 7KG category) it allows for easy transport, quick deployment and longer flight times. Recent aerial credits include: One Strange Rock for the National Geographic Channel. Earths Natural Wonders, Scotland from the Sky, A Very English Scandal for the BBC and Outlander for Starz. Feature credits include Danny Boyle's T2: Trainspotting and Stephen Frears' Victoria and Abdul.

Based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

RPQ-s qualified and CAA certified, Permissions for Aerial Work.

Please feel free to give me a ring or send an email and I will be happy to discuss how I can help with your shoot.
