Back to the Future! Here I was last October shooting in a dusty factory in China. Why didn’t I nab the PPE? Idiot!

Sacred Wonders - On the telly tomorrow night BBC 1 at 9pm. Was lucky enough to have gone on a fair few trips with the team over the last year. Hope it finds its audience!

Lindsay McCrae @badgerboy05 was absolutely the deserved winner for his mammoth sacrifice and effort shooting Dynasties : Emperor episode over the course of 11 months! Back to Edinburgh after a very cool wee shoot to start things off for 2019! Here’s to a busy year for everyone!

High above the valley floor near Kandersteg in Switzerland is this stunning ice climb called Crack Baby. We made it to the foot of the climb after an hours hike at dawn. The old Inspire 1 did well despite the cold. My fingers not so much! Filmed for Episode 2 of One Strange Rock for the National Geographic Channel. . . . #dji #iceclimbing #climbing #switzerland #onestrangerock #natgeo #drone #dronestagram #behindthescenes #filmmaking
Sami Reindeer herding in the Arctic Circle, Norway for ‘One Strange Rock’ National Geographic Channel. Another favourite shoot here despite the bitter cold. We were blessed with a week of stunning weather to allow us to capture this sequence back in early 2017. The reindeer survive the winter by digging for lichen under the snow. You can’t beat having the golden light last for 5 or so hours this far north in winter! . . . . . #reindeer #arctic #filming #behindthescenes #dji #drone #inspire2 #dronestagram #filmmaking
This was one of the most incredible subjects I’ve been lucky enough to shoot. For Series 2 of Earths Natural Wonders on BBC1 we went to the Gheralta Mountains in Ethiopia to film a family baptise their baby at Abuna Yemata Guh situated in the middle of a cliff face 250m off the ground. #dronestagram #drone #dji #climbing #ethiopia #bbc #filmmaking #behindthescenes
Haven’t been allowed to post from recent shoots so thought I’d put up some clips from trips gone by. This place was an amazing locomotive graveyard called ‘Cemeterio de Trenes’ beside the Uyuni salt flats in Bolivia. The trains were left abandoned after a decline in the tin mining industry during the 1940’s. #dronestagram #dji #inspire2 #onestrangerock #nationalgeographicchannel #drone #locomotive #trainspotting
